Direct Billing Update

According to recent information from ODJFS nearly two-thirds of providers are submitting their claims via direct billing, either themselves or through a trading partner. Claims are processing with nearly a 90 percent success rate, with approximately 35,000 claims being submitted. Overall, the state feels that the launching of the direct billing process has been successful. If you have not selected a trading partner, the trading partner information can be found at http://hipaa.ohio.gov.odjfs.

If you are one of the remaining one-third of the providers that have not submitted electronic claims, please remember that the monthly exception payment (90 percent of the average FY 2005 Medicaid vendor) is only for July 1,2005 – November 30, 2005 dates of service.
