A digital-award-winning county
turns to Plante & Moran for planning

The Center for Digital Government has recognized Johnson County, Kansas, as a technology leader several times.. As part of its ongoing technology planning process, they hired Plante & Moran to conduct an information technology (IT) assessment of the county’s operations including reviews of the county’s central information technology systems (ITS) and remote departments including eGovernment initiatives, telecommunications environments, and its geographic information system (GIS). 

For the government serving a population of 525,000, we also conducted a county-wide, end-user survey and a metrics-based benchmarking against peer counties. With that information and the assessment, we put together a strategic plan that the county will implement over 5 years.
