Plante & Moran Seminars to Review Key Points of New Michigan Business Tax
Southfield, Michigan — July 10, 2007 — Plante &Moran, PLLC will be holding seminars throughout the state and in Toledo, Ohio to explain the details of the new Michigan Business Tax (MBT) to business owners and managers. There is no charge for the two hour seminar, which will be led by members of Plante & Moran’s State and Local Tax (SALT) team.
According to Plante & Moran partner and SALT expert Curtis Ruppal, CPA, the seminars will introduce key differences between the new MBT and its predecessor, the Single Business Tax, as well as other nuances of the new tax.
"There is an urgent need in the business community for decision makers to really understand how the new MBT works so they can plan and move forward in this new business environment. These seminars will provide an overview of the MBT to help business owners understand and evaluate their new tax scenario," says Ruppal.
