Plante & Moran’s Keith and Kurt Piwko Score Top 10 in the Nation on CPA Exam — National Kudos for Michign-Educated Twins

Southfield, Mich. — September 11 — Plante & Moran, PLLC, is pleased to announce that twin brothers Keith Piwko and Kurt Piwko are winners of the 2006 Elijah Watt Sells Awards. The award is presented annually by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to the 10 candidates nationwide who earn the highest cumulative scores on the four sections of the Uniform CPA examination.

“This is a great accomplishment for Keith and Kurt,” said Bill Hermann, managing partner, Plante & Moran. “We recognize their dedication and focus, and we are very proud to have them on our team.”

The twin brothers, Keith Piwko of Royal Oak and Kurt Piwko of Sterling Heights, joined Plante & Moran in 2006. The Piwko’s both earned a bachelor of arts and a master of science degree in accounting from Michigan Sate University and are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

The Piwko’s are the only 2006 Elijah Watt Sells Award recipients in Michigan and were honored at the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants annual awards dinner on September 10, 2007.
