Susan Shoemaker joined PMFA in 1999 after working with a national financial company. She primarily consults with companies on investments, participant education, and administrative alternatives in the qualified retirement plan market. Susan was named as a finalist for “Retirement Plan Advisor of the Year – 2004.” This annual award is given by Plan Sponsor Magazine, and focuses on the candidate’s client service and references, industry knowledge, and practice economics.

Susan holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Wayne State University where she graduated summa cum laude, and an master of business administration degree in finance. She is an affiliate member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
