Improvement Opportunity

  • This client had experienced extreme growth through acquisitions and market growth.
  • Sales were expected to continuing growing 20% per year.
  • Processes throughout the organization were not robust enough to support the size of the company as they continued to grow and launch new products.
  • The organization wanted to “proactively” address the opportunities for process improvement within their organization to better position themselves to deal with the continued planned growth.

Approach

  • Assisted the client in identifying and customizing an overall business process model which they could work to achieve overtime.
  • Conducted an overall assessment of current process to this business process model in order to understand where the greatest opportunities for improvement were within the organization.
  • Worked with the client to establish formal foundational processes such as Project Management, Process Improvement and Problem Solving that could be applied to all improvement opportunity projects.
  • Opportunities were prioritized and process improvement projects launched to begin work toward more efficient and effective processes across the organization.

Results

  • A consistent and effective approach across the organization for dealing with any improvement opportunities resulting in more efficient use of resources.
  • Improvement projects were completed in all areas of the organization including New Product Development, Manufacturing, Sales, Human Resources and Marketing.
