Our Elgin office was built in 2007 and is currently one of the newest Plante & Moran locations, chosen for the area’s rapidly growing industrial and commercial base. We are proud to offer expert business management and financial consulting services to clients in Elgin, which has been named one of the fastest growing cities in Illinois, yet is able to maintain its rich history and architecture. The city is known for its beautiful landmarks from the Victorian Era, and it was believed that Elgin had at one time the second largest concentration of cobblestone homes in the nation. Elgin is also one of a few cities in Northern Illinois to house a riverboat casino, which has been a significant source of income for the city.

Community Involvement
Quality of life and family are important aspects of our practice. Our staff especially enjoys volunteering their time with a number of local community-based organizations.
Each May, our Chicago office participates in the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge. Proceeds from the race go to Bears Care, an organization committed to improving the quality of life for people in the Chicagoland community, especially disadvantaged children and their families, through targeted programs supporting education, youth athletics, and medical research and health awareness programs focusing on breast and ovarian cancer.
In addition, the Chicago office participated in the Letters to Santa program and purchased Christmas gifts for children on Chicago’s South Side.
Sustainability
All of us at Plante & Moran have long prided ourselves not only for offering comprehensive business consulting services, but also on being responsible corporate and community citizens, so it’s only natural that we adopt an even stronger environmentally friendly and sustainable approach going forward. We’ve made significant strides in the areas of building design and furnishings, energy efficiency, paper conservation, and environmental awareness/waste reduction. Here are just a few of the initiatives currently in place:
- Each staff has work tools that allow remote access and document sharing from different locations. This has reduced gas consumption and provided greater flexibility while improving collaboration.
- We’re increasing our use of recycled paper products, including our firm letterhead and new firm brochure.
