Plante & Moran Named One of Metro-Detroit's "Most Admired Companies"
SOUTHFIELD, Michigan — Crain’s Detroit Business has announced that Plante & Moran, PLLC, the nation’s 12th largest certified public accounting and business consulting firm, has been named one of metro-Detroit’s “Most Admired Companies”. Plante & Moran was one of 14 companies, (and one of two private companies) selected by key business leaders for standing out in business and in community involvement.
“This is a tremendous honor,” says Bill Hermann. “Our 85-year tradition of doing the right things for the right reasons continues to be successful for both our firm and its clients. It’s particularly humbling that we received this designation thanks to input from local business leaders and that we were one of only two private companies to make the list.”
According to Crain’s Detroit Business, the selection of the “Most Admired Companies” was through a three-step process that comprised interviewing key business leaders to determine what qualities they believe admirable companies possess, followed by two surveys. The first survey went to C-level executives and other business and nonprofit leaders to narrow a list of private and public companies with more than $200 million in revenue, large health care organizations, and the top 25 fastest-growing companies. The second survey went to a smaller group to more specifically rate the companies in the narrowed list.
In the final survey, companies were assessed on community emphasis, financial strength, strength of workforce, leveraging diversity, the strength of the company’s core values and culture, and whether they were admired overall.
