Plante & Moran Launches Michigan Energy Forum

SOUTHFIELD, Michigan — Plante & Moran, PLLC, one of the nation’s largest accounting and business advisory firms, announces it will launch a Michigan Energy Forum series on February 12, 2010. The first topic will be “What Organizations Can Do About Their Energy Rates and Prices”. The presenter is Craig Shultz, President of Maryland-based Energy Buying Strategies, Inc. (EBSI), which works with commercial, industrial, and governmental consumers to help them manage the cost and volatility of their energy purchases.

The Michigan Energy Forum is presented by Plante & Moran’s Energy Practice, a multidisciplinary team of experts with business and regulation expertise in oil and gas and renewable energy. Jim Manning is leader of the renewable energy group within the Energy Practice.

“We began the energy practice in 1980, focusing on oil and gas, but we’ve expanded our knowledge and service offerings in recent years to help businesses adapt to the ever changing energy environment and make the right business choices about their energy use,” says Manning. “The Michigan Energy Forum is intended to bring energy experts to a wider business audience for educational purposes.”
