A Leading Authority In Banking and Compliance Law
Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms, announced that Elizabeth Snyder has joined the firm as associate. Elizabeth will lead the firm’s financial institution industry’s Regulatory Compliance team.
Snyder has more than 25 years of experience and is considered a leading authority in this area by regulators and several national trade publications. She is a frequent speaker for national and state banking associations. Snyder comes to Plante Moran from the Illinois Bankers Association, where she served as senior vice president of compliance and risk management.
“We are pleased to welcome Elizabeth to the Plante Moran team,” said Brian Pollice, Plante Moran’s partner in charge of the financial institution practice. “Plante Moran is very fortunate to have someone with such a broad range of expertise. In particular, Elizabeth and her team have a thorough understanding of fair lending and bank secrecy laws, and the compliance process required of financial institutions.”
Going forward, she is charged with helping clients maintain efficient operations while designing internal controls and policies that will ensure compliance with laws and regulations at local, state and federal levels.
Snyder has held previous positions at Leaders Bank, Founders Bank, and Oak Brook Bank. She served as a member of the American Bankers Association Compliance Administrative Committee, and chaired the committee in 2009-10.
