Chicago, August 8, 2013
– Plante Moran has launched its 2013 North American Plastics Industry Study.
The annual survey from the public accounting, tax and business advisory firm will again ask plastics processors in the United States, Canada and Mexico to share results in sales and marketing, financial performance, human resources and operations. Widely viewed as the most in-depth benchmarking survey in the industry, the North American Plastics Industry Study has been drawing connections between performance and profitability since 1995.
The survey, which is available for download at plastics.plantemoran.com
, focuses on companies across several plastics processes, including injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, compression, and extrusion. Companies that participate before Aug. 31 will receive a free tailored benchmarking report in September that will allow them to compare their business performance to their industry peers.
Based on recommendations from previous participants and industry leaders, Plante Moran has made several improvements to this year’s survey, including:
- Streamlined questions to evaluate key performance indicators
- New metrics on strategy and value propositions
- Deeper assessment of sales and marketing activities
Last year, more than 130 surveys representing 200 plastics facilities were collected.
