Plante Moran’s Columbus office moves to new, collaborative space

February 22, 2016 In The News 2 min read

Plante Moran is moving its Columbus office to a new space that features an innovative, collaborative environment designed to maximize efficiency and client service.

The accounting and business consulting firm is moving to 250 South High St., occupying 27,000 square feet on the first two floors of the new 12-story Daimler/Kaufman building. The office space will feature a streamlined design that encourages teamwork and productivity, while providing room for a growing number of professional staff that will be based in Columbus.

The hallmark of this setting is an open office and workstation environment, including a “free-addressing” component that allows team members greater mobility to work in their client service teams.

“We want to break down walls to provide communication and collaboration that moves at the speed of business,” said Robert Shenton, office managing partner.

The space will include “huddle rooms” of different sizes and dedicated work areas, all designed to promote collaboration. And without walled offices along exterior windows, the space will be bathed in natural light.

“We’re excited about our new workspace,” Shenton said. “This design is appealing because it incorporates the technology and tools we use to serve clients in a team-centered, energetic environment. Our partners and staff are very excited about the new space and the office concept.”

Plante Moran will join a roster of other building tenants that includes Resource/Ammirati, a creative design firm, and NBBJ, an architectural firm, according to Paul Ghidotti, executive vice president of The Daimler Group, Inc., which is the building’s developer.

“There are amenities within the building — such as a workout area for both residential and commercial tenants and the popular new restaurant Salt & Pine — as well as outdoor activities at Columbus Commons and the new Scioto Greenways,” Ghidotti said. “Plante Moran is going to be right in the middle of the growth occurring in Downtown Columbus.”

The anticipated move-in date is July 1.
