I’ve always said, I want to outlive my life. Meaning, I want to make an impact that lives on after I’m gone. The work isn’t about me, it’s about the purpose it serves and who it will help. This is true for my interactions with my work, with my family, and with my church.

Experience

I see my role as a champion for my clients. At Plante Moran, we try to deliver creative solutions to their challenges and help them save money. Whether I’m working with franchise owners, the C-suite of multi-unit organizations, or law firms, I provide accounting, tax, and consulting services that help them meet their objectives. I also specialize in benefit plan audits and serving municipalities. I work with politicians every day and I know the expertise that is necessary to allow them to do their best job — which is serving the public.

I am the Macomb office managing partner and it’s not just because I have the most experience in the office or I love telling stories. I’m recognized for my investment in staff members’ careers. In this role, I have the privilege of mentoring staffers who’ve become partner. I’ve also helped launch the franchise practice, which has contributed to the growth of the firm in various niche industries.

Occasionally, I give public presentations to municipalities and governments on matters of government finance. I’m a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs, and I’m the treasurer for Leadership Macomb. I have a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan.

When I’m not serving my clients, I’m devoted to my wife and three daughters and to the church I helped launch 17 years ago. I’ve fostered its growth from 40 or so original attendees to more than 2,000 today.
