One of our favorite family vacation spots was Hawaii, especially our kayaking and zip-lining excursions on Kauai.

Experience

As the firm’s global mobility services director, I advise employers on the business and tax consequences of global assignments for their employees. I assist in the management of global talent to optimize costs and investments in alignment with overall business objectives.

The cost of sending an employee on a foreign assignment requires a significant financial and human capital investment. Employers have very specific business objectives connected to each assignment. While our group certainly has deep expertise in global tax compliance and cost minimization, we’re always aware of the greater objectives and the well-being of the company and its employees.

Since joining Plante Moran as an intern, I’ve gained more than 30 years of experience providing business and tax advice. With more than 20 years in international tax strategies, I’m proud to have been the leader in developing and launching the global mobility practice.

Business groups, such as the MICPA, often invite me to speak on global mobility topics. I’m a regular speaker at the Praxity North American Tax Conference. I belong to the AICPA, the MICPA, and the Global Mobility Working Group of Praxity, AISBL. I have a B.S. in accounting from the University of Detroit Mercy, where I sit on the board of advisors for the College of Business Administration.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time my family and friends. If I have a free hour, I'm generally reading or listening to a book. I enjoy travel and attending community plays and theater.
