I have the same birthday as Theodore Roosevelt, and I have a framed copy of his quote, "It is not the critic who counts" hanging in my office.

Experience

I’m a leader in the firm's financial services practice and a member of the family offices services group with a primary focus on alternative investment funds, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds. I also play a leadership role in the firm's restaurant and employee benefit plan practices. I have expertise dealing with sponsors of various alternative investment funds, investment advisors, and broker dealers.

Public accounting is full of challenges, and that’s what attracted me to this career. It’s never boring. I’ve been with the firm for more than 20 years and take great pride in contributing to my clients’ growth. Colleagues know me for my devotion to the success of my clients and my willingness to work extremely hard to achieve that success. I’m a firm believer that doing the right thing in the right situation always pays off in the long run. That mantra hasn’t let me down yet.

I’ve presented at industry conferences, such as the Illinois Venture Capital Association, on valuation, accounting, and regulatory matters that impact the financial services industry. I belong to the AICPA, the Illinois CPA Society, the Illinois Venture Capital Association, the ACG, and the Illinois Restaurant Association, where I serve on the finance and executive committees. I received my B.S.B.A. in accounting from Creighton University.

My wife and I spend most of our free time attending the various activities of our four kids. When I do have time to myself, I like to participate in an array of physical activities, as well as read and listen to music.
