Experience

As a leader of our firm’s healthcare assurance practice, I enjoy helping organizations that help others. I have over 22 years of experience in providing audit and advisory services to an array of nationally and regionally based healthcare organizations. I focus on continuing care retirement (life plan) communities, skilled nursing facilities, home health, hospice, ancillary service providers, and affordable housing organizations.

My clients appreciate the fact that I work with many others like them and share years of lessons learned so that they don’t have to do things the hard way when it comes to accounting and operational issues. I share actionable industry insights and benchmarking data to help clients make informed decisions for their organizations.

I’ve always enjoyed guiding and teaching others, and I routinely share my knowledge by giving presentations to state and national industry associations. I have an active role in supporting our firm’s healthcare professional services team which serves as the technical leaders of our healthcare assurance practice. I pride myself on keeping our group—and our clients—current on any changes which impact our healthcare organizations operationally, strategically, or financially. I’m also the chair of the finance committee and a member of the board of directors and audit committees of Directions for Youth & Families. I’m a member of the AICPA and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and I hold a B.S.B.A. from Ohio State University.
