As a principal at Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran REIA, Jerry has served religious institutes and their sponsored ministries for over 35 years. He assists religious communities, healthcare organizations, and not-for-profits with discerning their organizational vision, purpose, and values; identifying their strategic direction based on internal and external analyses; aligning their resources and structures; and developing plans to implement their goals and objectives.
His experience includes serving on multiple engagements related to revitalizing and restructuring religious institutes. As part of that process, he conducts site visits to identify opportunities for operational improvement and to enhance community resources.
He has helped numerous religious congregations with a wide variety of activities, including planning for the future of their mission, collaboration and consolidation, changes in sponsorship and governance, asset divestiture, financial and operational analysis, consolidated financial reporting for international congregations, and leadership transition. In the past, Jerry had also served as the chief financial officer for a subsidiary of a Catholic health system during the development of a continuing care retirement community.
Jerry holds an MBA from Oakland University and a B.S. in business administration from Aquinas College.
