What’s Your Innovation Quotient?
What are the most successful innovative companies doing that others aren’t? To answer that question, Plante & Moran partnered with The NewNorth Center, an executive education and innovation training institute, to develop The Innovation Quotient survey, the first large scale innovation study in the Great Lakes Region.
The 35-question survey is designed to measure:
- Attitudes toward innovation
- Business values of innovation
- Drivers and catalysts for innovation
- Variables of process, budget, and culture and how they impact the innovation quotient for an organization
All survey participants will receive a customized report benchmarking their organization’s innovation quotient against innovation best-in-class practices. Plante & Moran and NewNorth will also publish the findings in a white paper, which will be released later this summer.
Although the first round of analysis is underway, the survey will remain open permanently. To take the survey, go to innovationquotientsurvey.com.
Plante & Moran Named One of West Michigan’s 101 Best & Brightest
Once again, Plante & Moran has been named one of “West Michigan’s 101 Best & Brightest Companies to Work For.” Nominees were evaluated in a number of categories, including communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multiculturalism, employee education and development, recognition and retention, and work-life balance. A panel of judges reviewed a detailed survey on the firm’s human resources practices and also conducted extensive interviews with staff members. We’re honored to be on this list for the sixth consecutive year.
Gordon Krater Wants YOU…To Check Out His Blog!
In January, Gordon Krater penned his first-ever blog entry about Plante & Moran’s 13th year on the FORTUNE list. Since then, he’s published musings on everything from culture (including rerecruiting and diversity) and ethics to client service lessons and innovation. The best part? He’s merely initiating the discussion. The real value comes from conversations that result when clients and friends like you take a moment to share their feelings about a given topic. Plante & Moran Receives 2011 Huntington Pillar Award from Women’s Resource Center
The Grand Rapids office of Plante & Moran has been honored with a Huntington Pillar Award from the Women’s Resource Center. The award annually honors West Michigan Employers that empower women in their workforce with progressive policies and practices. Plante & Moran was recognized for its decades-long focus on work-life balance and “intentionally creating policies and a culture that keeps their staff happy.”
“We are extremely pleased to receive a Pillar Award from the Women’s Resource Center in recognition of our workplace policies,” said Rich Antonini, office managing partner. “Today, half of our team in Grand Rapids are women — the majority of them women with families. We recognize the importance of programs that allow all our staff to achieve a true balance between work and home, and very much appreciate this recognition from the Women’s Resource Center.”
Plante & Moran Wins Marketing Achievement Award
The Association for Accounting Marketing recently presented Plante & Moran with a Marketing Achievement Award for “best internal firm program.” The program in question? Our internal marketing initiative celebrating the firm’s 13th year on FORTUNE magazine’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For.” This is the second Marketing Achievement Award the firm has won; Universal Advisor won for “best magazine or newsletter” back in 2006.
