P&M Corporate Finance, LLC (PMCF) is a middle-market investment bank that provides merger & acquisition and financial advisory services to companies and private equity firms located throughout North America and Europe. Its services include sale advisory, acquisition advisory, fairness opinions, capital raising, and strategic advice relating to leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, initial public offerings, and strategic alliances.
PMCF advises clients across a broad spectrum of manufacturing and service sectors and has dedicated industry teams focused on diversified industrials, plastics and packaging, business services, life sciences, and healthcare services. Today, PMCF frequently consults with companies (1) planning a future sale of their business and interested in using the current soft market to implement strategies to optimize the sale process and proceeds, and
(2) looking to take advantage of market conditions and grow via raising growth capital or through acquisitions.
PMCF differentiates its practice by leveraging its deep industry expertise with a strong analytical approach to provide customized transaction solutions. At the same time, it maintains a culture of entrepreneurial independence and senior-level involvement that supports its middle-market clients and their unique financial requirements. Another differentiating factor is that PMCF consistently puts the interests of its clients first, even if it means not closing a transaction and not earning a fee.
Recently, a manufacturing company serving the energy industry enlisted PMCF to execute a transaction that needed to satisfy four criteria: partner with a buyer positioned to drive continued growth; provide economic opportunities for the management team; achieve personal liquidity and diversify business risk; and secure an attractive price. PMCF identified a highly strategic company owned by an equity fund and negotiated a transaction that met all objectives and exceeded the owner’s expectations. The transaction closed in late 2008, even as
credit markets collapsed and oil prices fell.
Finally, PMCF is a founding member of Corporate Finance International (CFI), a network of boutique investment banks executing middle-market transactions in key industry segments across the globe. With more than a decade of international collaboration among current members and more than 135 professionals in 16 offices across 11 countries.
Since PMCF’s inception in 1995, it has completed more than 300 engagements for a wide variety of clients, including individual and family-owned businesses, large public companies, and private equity firms. PMCF specializes in transactions valued between $20 million and $200 million, typically closing approximately 15–20 transactions per year. The firm employs 25 professionals based in Chicago, Southfield, and Cleveland.
