Dealing with mobile devices in the classroom

plantemoran webinarsWe will address the unique challenges that face K-12 in trying to adapt to the proliferation of mobile devices that are coming into the classroom. Schools are looking for ways to improve the ratio of computing devices to students. Mobile devices such as iPhones, iPod touches, or
other Droid-based smartphones can be leveraged to improve teaching and learning. We will have an educator discuss various resources, techniques, and challenges with utilizing these devices. We will also have a technical expert discuss the security and management considerations that should be addressed.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to discuss:

  • Effective strategies for integrating mobile devices into teaching and learning to maximize their impact
  • How to develop an appropriate policy for addressing mobile devices
  • How to handle security and management of mobile devices
  • What platforms should be supported

Presenters | Jim Fry, an independent educational consultant, will join Marvin Sauer and Sri Chalasani of the Plante Moran technology consulting team.
