A group of nearly 50 Plante Moran Cresa, Plante Moran REIA, and Plante Moran Living Forward staff, as well as family and friends, joined thousands of volunteers for the 2018 Life Remodeled event in Detroit earlier this month.

The project continues the work started last year by more than 11,000 volunteers in the 300 city blocks surrounding Central High School in Detroit. Through this project, Life Remodeled expects to plant at least 1,000 trees and perennials, build community gardens, install little free libraries, create artwork to mark the safest routes to schools, upgrade several parks, install new bus shelters, and add neighborhood signage. Volunteer activity included landscaping, cleanup, painting, and more.

Our teams were given the challenge of clearing an overgrown alley. The pouring rain was no obstacle for our hard-working crew. Plante Moran Cresa, Plante Moran REIA, and Plante Moran Living Forward are proud to have contributed to the continued effort to restore and beautify Detroit.
