Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest public accounting and business advisory firms, is pleased to announce that Linda Bailey-Woods has joined the firm as a principal in its management consulting practice.
Bailey-Woods is a registered health information administrator who specializes in health information technology and management systems with an emphasis on strategic planning around electronic health record systems. She has an extensive background in health information operational change management, project management, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA, privacy and security, and information technology.
She spent 13 years as a health system executive, overseeing information services and technology, health information management, laboratory, radiology, communications, quality and clinical documentation integrity — and developing and implementing process improvement programs in each area. In addition, she has 10 years of executive consulting experience and 10 years of health care technology vendor systems development and account management experience.
Bailey-Woods holds a bachelor’s degree in health information management and a master’s in information science from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned HIPAA privacy officer certification from Harvard University.
Active in her profession, Bailey-Woods is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and American Health Information Management Association.
She resides in Livonia. She and her husband, Arthur Woods, have two daughters.
