Southfield, Mich. – Fortune.com and Great Place to Work® have named Plante Moran to their lists of “20 Best Workplaces for Gen Xers” and “100 Best Workplaces for Millennials.”

To develop the “100 Best Workplaces for Millennials” list, which ranks Plante Moran number 20, nearly 88,000 Millennials (born 1981 or later) were surveyed about sincerity of managers' support for people's personal and professional lives, how transparent communication is, people's ability to be themselves at work and to invest in their lives outside work, and the meaning they get from their jobs, among many other factors.

The “20 Best Workplaces for Gen Xers” list, which ranks Plante Moran number 10, was determined by survey responses of more than 109,000 Gen Xers (born between 1965 and 1980). Staff considered advancement opportunities, generosity of benefits packages, genuineness of work-life balance support, connection with their colleagues and the ability to make a difference in their work, among many other factors.

Both lists, which can be found at GreatPlacetoWork.com/Reviews, are part of Great Place to Work’s Recognition Program, which uses staff feedback gathered from its Trust Index© survey to recognize specific aspects of workplace culture.

“Plante Moran strives to accommodate the needs of staff from all generations, but we often find that the needs aren’t all that different,” said Gordon Krater, Plante Moran’s managing partner. “By talking with our staff, we’ve found that above all else, both Plante Moran Gen Xers and millennials appreciate a supportive culture and the freedom to navigate their career –– something that Plante Moran offers to all staff members.”

Earlier this year, Plante Moran was named to FORTUNE Magazine’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work For” for the 18th consecutive year.
