Plante Moran earns “2019 Best Workplaces for Parents”
Policies like flexible working hours, parental leave, and adoption benefits earned us a spot on Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work®’s annual list of Best Places Workplaces for Parents. This marks the third time we’ve made the list in as many years.
One anonymous staff member said in a survey, “I love the flexibility in both departments and hours. I started off as a full-time auditor, then transitioned to a part-time governmental consultant while I raise my family.”
Great Place to Work surveyed more than 5 million U.S. employees on over 60 survey questions and compared parents’ and nonparents’ responses to create this list. They looked at the level of support parents receive, quality of parental leave, adoption, flexible scheduling, childcare, and dependent health benefits. They also evaluated how staff members’ status as parents influenced their experiences at their companies. Finally, they looked at whether the company lived up to its values, enabled innovation, and leadership effectiveness.
