As Plante Moran’s chief marketing officer, I oversee all marketing functions, including strategy, sales, digital marketing, proposal/pursuit support, social media, PR, advertising, and internal and external communications.
As a former CPA and entrepreneur, I bring the client perspective to my marketing role. Seeing the firm through the eyes of our clients has helped our amazing, dynamic marketing team transition from taking conventional approaches into a group that helps the whole firm strategize, quantify results, experiment, and grow.
As part of the team that developed the firm’s five-year strategic plan, colleagues often come to me for input on the strategic discussions they're having around the firm. They know I love nothing more than realistic, practical, implementable ideas and to play devil's advocate by presenting alternate perspectives. The firm's partners appreciate that I don't shy away from offering contrarian opinions, and I suspect that's why I was the first marketing staff member to make partner, something I'm very proud of.
A voracious reader and news consumer, I keep a close eye on policy changes out of Washington, business disruptors, data analytics, and other topics — with a focus of how they affect our clients. That has inspired Policy Perspectives, our new thought leadership series and objective take on the issues — and most importantly their implications — for the C suite.
I'm active in many business and community activities and an avid supporter of culture and the arts in Detroit.
I hold a B.S. in accounting and an M.B.A. in finance from University of Detroit Mercy.
