Headshot of Andrew Gentzkow.

I grew up playing the piano and trumpet and have performed at various recitals and state competitions over the years. While I no longer actively practice, I still find time to listen to classical and jazz music throughout the day.

Andrew Gentzkow
Senior Manager, CPA

As a senior manager in our healthcare group, I assist healthcare organizations by conducting audits of their financial statements. I also provide single audit services to ensure clients comply when using state or federal grants. Additionally, I help clients with implementing new accounting standards and bond issuances. My clients typically include large, multihospital health systems and post-acute care organizations, including rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities, as well as home health agencies.

I was attracted to a career in public accounting, specifically focused on healthcare, because of the widespread positive impact it has on people. I can help ensure healthcare organizations have reliable financial statements which, in turn, improves their ability to provide quality care for their patients. I enjoy working with my clients because they’re relatable, professional, and believe in doing the right thing.

Colleagues know me for my positive, upbeat attitude, which allows our team to provide great client service and grow together. I like to take a proactive approach to understand client issues and connect them with the right resources at our firm. This allows for a smooth audit process, ensuring all deadlines are met, so there’s no surprises along the way.

In my nearly 10 years of experience, one of my greatest accomplishments has been sharing industry best practices with clients and seeing how they’ve improved their organizations using those recommendations. I’m the vice president of the Southwestern Ohio chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where I often speak at their conferences. I’ve also authored thought leadership pieces on topics such as CARES Act funding and single audits. I received my B.S. in accounting from Xavier University and my M.S. in accounting from Indiana University.

When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy attending Xavier basketball games, golfing, working out, and spending time with my niece and nephew, family, and friends.
