As the leader of our investment funds tax practice, I provide tax compliance, consulting, and structuring services to a wide range of funds, including private equity, venture capital, hybrid funds, and fund of funds. With more than 25 years of experience, I assist fund owners/managers with tax and economic structuring through the entire fund cycle. I work with large, middle-market, and small funds.

On the fund-raising side, I have experience offering and negotiating a wide range of structures to help minimize tax exposure for a variety of organizations — U.S. taxable, U.S. tax-exempt, and foreign investors — as well as sponsors. I also assist with general partner and management company arrangements to maximize after-tax returns.

My clients appreciate my expertise guiding them through the complex maze of federal, state, and other jurisdictional tax compliance. I always prioritize their needs, specifically those of the investors, to make compliance seamless.

I belong to the AICPA, the Michigan Association of CPAs, the National Business Aviation Association, and the Michigan Venture Capital Association. I received my B.A. from the University of Michigan–Flint and my M.S in taxation from Walsh College.

In my free time, I enjoy crafting and sewing. I also like staying active and getting outside with biking and gardening.
