I work extensively with C-suite executives/entrepreneurs along with key company management on a variety of business issues and opportunities. I also have financial advisory relationships with a variety of governmental industry clients. I specialize in succession planning, accounting, auditing, individual and corporate tax planning, as well as organizational governance and strategic planning services. I view myself as a problem solver. My clients see me as a trusted advisor because I’m honest in my assessments and always make their interests my highest priority.
Around the office, I have a reputation for being more serious than I really am. I think it’s because, as the office managing partner, I’m heavily invested in talent development and work with young staff to enhance their careers—and that’s something I take very seriously. I love the energy and enthusiasm our collective team brings to the office, and it’s personally rewarding when they receive recognition for their achievements.
I’ve always had a high interest in learning from individuals who come from different backgrounds and cultures. I’ve been an active part of the firm’s efforts to be inclusive and embrace the true value that a diverse team can create when helping our clients. As the chairman of our firm’s Diversity Council, I’m proud of how far we’ve come but also recognize there’s still a lot to accomplish.
Outside of work, I spend time working with charities and challenged individuals. I also love playing and participating in a variety of sports and traveling.
I’m on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC). I also serve as the Chairman of the minority business enterprise (MBE) certification committee. I’m also a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
