With a deep understanding of technology and risk in the business environment, I help clients address IT risk and compliance requirements, evaluate IT threats and vulnerabilities in their processes, and identify creative solutions to remediate security control weaknesses. My expertise includes IT security assurance, IT governance, IT risk management, IT security frameworks, cyber regulations, and business process optimization. I predominantly serve public clients in government, higher education, K-12 public education as well as clients in the healthcare industry.
The opportunity to create solutions that assist clients with their challenges is what drew me to this career. The world of IT risk is rapidly changing, and it’s satisfying to be at the forefront of industry developments and steer my clients on a path toward processes that safeguard their risks and controls.
With 25 years of experience in this field, I’m often asked to speak at a variety of industry events. Examples of events where I have presented include: Florida Government Finance Officials Association (national and local chapters), the Illinois Government Finance Officials Association, National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers, and the Texas Association of School Business Officials Conference. I’m a member of the AICPA. I received my B.S. in accounting from North Carolina A&T State University.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, cooking, and spending time with my wife.
