Experience

As a senior vice president of Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Nicole brings more than 22 years of engineering and program management experience to the team. Known for her skill in preconstruction planning and project management, Nicole is especially adept in the areas of cost forecasting, scope evaluation project, process improvement, and team development.

Nicole believes that upfront planning is the best way to avoid unwelcome surprises and meet project goals. She has extensive experience reviewing written specifications and drawings for construction budget analysis and value engineering opportunities. She has also helped project teams coordinate phasing, staging, and site logistics in ways that reduce impacts on operations. At PMR, she leverages this experience to guide projects from concept to completion. Clients appreciate that she always has their best interests and long-term success in mind.

Prior to joining PMR, Nicole was director of operations at LS Brinker, where she developed new processes for defining scope of work and project schedules, monitoring financial information, and facilitating budget status and forecast reporting. Nicole also educated staff and the operations group on processes and procedures required for successful implementation of construction projects.

Nicole is a proponent for minority women in the real estate, design, and construction industry. She is a consultant for “Pretty Brown Girls,” an organization dedicated to educating and empowering Black and Brown girls by encouraging self-acceptance while cultivating social, emotional, and intellectual well-being. She is also a member of the Engineering Society of Detroit.

In 2022, Nicole made Crain Detroit’s list of Notable Women in Construction, Architecture, and Design. In 2023, she was recognized on Michigan Chronicle’s Women in Excellence list, which celebrates local African American women who inspire others through their vision and leadership, incomparable achievements, and exceptional participation in community service.

Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Clark Atlanta University.
