Caitlin Slezak

As a member of Plante Moran’s National Tax Office, I advise colleagues and clients on emerging tax issues. Specifically, I focus on technical tax accounting methods as they relate to tax revenue, expense recognition, and tax inventory accounting. I work with large and midsized businesses in nearly all industries, but I specialize in the manufacturing and distribution industry.

Learning and development are passions of mine, and my technical tax consulting role allows me to be at the forefront of tax education for the firm.

As a member of the AICPA’s Tax Resource Panel, I work with other leaders in my field to monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to tax accounting issues and make recommendations to the government on such issues. I’m also an active member of the Illinois CPA society, where I belong to the women’s mentoring group. I received my B.S. in accounting and international business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and my M.S. in taxation from the University of Illinois (but I’m still a Hoosier at heart!).
