I used to be a dancer and once owned two dance studios. A friend convinced me to take an accounting class with her, and the rest is history. After we graduated with accounting degrees, I sold her my dance studios.

As a relationship manager with Plante Moran Financial Advisors, I serve as a personal CFO for high-net-worth individuals and their families. With more than 25 years of experience, I have expertise with high-net-worth individuals, retirement plans, institutions, and trusts, and some corporations. I oversee the wealth management practice in the mid-Michigan area.

My clients appreciate that I coordinate all aspects of their financial lives into a well-devised plan, consistent with their goals and objectives in a tax-oriented manner. I love helping people and spending time with them. This profession has never really felt like ‘work’ to me.

I feel my biggest accomplishment is the fact that I started East Lansing’s PMFA practice with six clients and $80K in revenue and have grown it — of course, with a tremendous amount of help — to 300+ clients and more than $5M in revenue. It makes me proud to see what we’ve created in our office.

I’ve spoken at a number of Community Foundation events. Recently, I spoke at the annual Women in Wealth Management Conference, sponsored by Financial Advisor Magazine. I belong to the AICPA, the MICPA, and the Investments & Wealth Institute, formerly IMCA. I’ve been active with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and the Capital Region Community Foundation. I received my B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.

Outside of work, I’m like a lot of parents who spend time with their kids’ activities. With three kids, there’s always something happening. When I find free time, I enjoy golfing.
