As part of Plante Moran’s 10-person management team, I work with our Chicagoland, Ohio, and international offices to help guide and connect our leadership throughout the firm. We share best practices and solutions to common issues and uphold our firmwide approach to client service.
Prior to my role on the management team, I served as the firm’s international practice leader, assisting clients simplify the complexity of doing business internationally. Much of my expertise has come from helping clients expand internationally to over 50 countries, helping foreign companies expand in the United States, and also helping the firm open offices in China, Mexico, India, and Japan.
My favorite thing about Plante Moran is the people. I often start my days talking and working with our team in India, working during the day with our teams in the United States and Mexico, then ending the day with our teams in Japan and China. Working with a highly skilled, highly motivated, caring, and diverse team around the global makes every day special.
In 2015, Crain’s Detroit Business recognized me as a “40 Under 40” recipient for helping the firm increase international business revenue by 400%. I’m a member of the German American Chamber of Commerce, the Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce, the Detroit–China Business Association, the United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Corporate Growth, the AICPA, and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I received a B.S. in accounting with honors from Michigan State University.
I spend many days away from home and eating at restaurants for work. Therefore, when I’m home, I like nothing more than hanging out with my three kids and my wife and eating a PB&J in the kitchen. I also enjoy golf and catching up on my kids’ activities.
