As a member of the firm’s cybersecurity team, I accelerate organizational performance by helping leadership teams define and execute strategies that align IT with overall business goals. My expertise includes large-scale program implementations involving cross-functional, multivendor, multicontinent teams with multimillion-dollar-operating budgets. Working predominantly within the healthcare, insurance, and public sector verticals, I specialize in IT strategy and governance, business analytics, cybersecurity strategy and operations, and risk management services.
My clients appreciate that I listen to their challenges and provide advice based on my experiences. I have more than 25 years of experience and, prior to joining Plante Moran, I was the chief security officer for the state of Michigan, where I focused on security and risk management while collaborating with federal, state, and corporate partners for cybersecurity initiatives.
I frequently speak on cybersecurity and IT topics. Recently, I moderated a panel of cybersecurity experts on “Cyber challenges and bold plays” at the North American International Cyber Summit, and I co-led a board room discussion for fellow CISOs on “Security operations and orchestration” at the Detroit Evanta CISO Summit.
I earned my B.S. in mechanical engineering from BCE in India and my M.B.A. from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Business at Michigan State University. In 2018, I received a leadership coin from the State of Michigan’s chief information officer and a recognition coin from the Michigan National Guards.
In my spare time, my son and I explore small towns in Michigan and Ohio to write travelogues. We look for local attractions (such as historical buildings, restaurants/diners, libraries, and unique post offices). It’s an incredible experience.
