With nearly 15 years of professional experience, my focus includes providing tax consulting and compliance services to family-owned and private equity-owned businesses. I serve clients in the professional services and real estate industries. Recently, I became a member of the firm’s Paycheck Protection Program team where I advise clients on eligibility and loan forgiveness.
I was attracted to a career in public accounting because it offers an opportunity to work in a variety of industries with diverse clients. My clients truly are what keep me going each day. I’m always thinking of them, staying current on legislation that affects them, and strategizing how they can benefit from new developments in the law and with tax planning. I know they appreciate that I address all of their questions, concerns, and opportunities in a timely manner.
Around the office, I’m known for caring about my fellow team members, always trying to add some fun to the job, and promoting a healthy work-life balance. This is a big reason why I’m active with Plante Moran’s Women in Leadership initiative to attract, retain, develop, and advance women into leadership positions within the firm.
I’m a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. I’ve presented in webinars on the Paycheck Protection Program, both internally and externally, and at networking groups associated with the firm. I received my B.A. in marketing from Michigan State University and an M.S. in tax from Walsh College.
When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy running, biking, golfing, skiing, and being active with my husband and two daughters.
