Erin E. Goss is the senior alternative investment analyst for Plante Moran Financial Advisors, specializing in alternative investment manager due diligence and helping to educate clients about various aspects of these investment opportunities that can further enhance portfolio risk-adjusted returns,  including the risks presented by these less-traditional investments. She is known for her relentless attention to detail, knowledge of the industry, and broad technical investment background.

Erin’s financial industry experience spans over 10 years, with alternative investment due diligence being a focus over many of those years.  Prior to her current role, Erin helped to build PMFA’s investment due diligence capabilities, with particular emphasis spent in fixed income and investment strategy.

Most recently, her focus has been on discussing new illiquid investment opportunities with qualified clients.  Some of these investments are aimed at providing liquidity to institutions or other businesses due to the regulatory pressure to improve the health of bank balance sheets. She also has assisted with due diligence on a number of more liquid alternative investment situations.  She is often asked to educate our clients and Plante Moran staff on alternative investment-related topics, helping them understand general structuring, return profiles, and when client investment may be appropriate.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.
