Headshot of Christina Hardy

My free time is spent watching my kids’ events, from baseball, basketball, and soccer, to mock trials and Science Olympiad competitions. I’ve traveled all the way from Disney World to St. Louis to watch their sporting events.

Experience

With more than 20 years of accounting, auditing, and tax experience, I advise not-for-profits on the many financial aspects of their organization so they can move the needle on their missions. With expertise in NFPs, single audit, and Form 990, I specialize in human services organizations, foundations, economic development organizations, and grant-funded organizations. I’m the firm’s Greater Michigan not-for-profit leader, a member of the firm’s not-for-profit quality review group, and one of the firm’s Women in Leadership champions.

My clients appreciate that I sincerely care about their missions. That’s why I joined this profession. I chose the not-for-profit industry as my primary focus in order to work with organizations that are having a direct impact on our communities. I enjoy seeing the improvements our clients make in our society and learning about their history and mission throughout our relationship. This knowledge allows me to better serve them as a business partner since I understand their background and their goals.

I’ve been a past speaker on not-for-profit-related topics for the MICPA and the Council of Michigan Foundations. I’m a member of the AICPA and the MICPA, and I’m the past board chair of United Way of Southwest Michigan and board member of Berrien Community Foundation. Business Direct Weekly recognized me as one of Western Michigan’s “Business Leaders Under 40.” I received my B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.
