A tax partner with Plante Moran, Jerry specializes in providing practical solutions to internationally-active clients. Known for being “fluent in international tax,” he assists clients with the tax challenges that accompany expanding internationally, including transfer pricing, structuring, and foreign tax credit planning. He’s also a founding member of Plante Moran’s National Tax Office, which continuously monitors tax legislation and developing trends.
Jerry's has more than 30 years of tax experience, including 12 years in a multibillion-dollar multinational corporation. Jerry is a technical resource for the firm and consults with partners throughout our footprint. Recently, Jerry has assisted clients with captive insurance company planning, IRS controversies, and structuring for companies expanding internationally.
Jerry is invited to speak at a variety of tax and international tax-related conferences. Most recently, Jerry was the emcee and one of the primary presenters at the Praxity North American Firm International Tax Conference in Atlanta, GA. He was the opening and closing speaker and presented on topics including transfer pricing, international accounting issues, and foreign tax credit planning. Jerry is a frequent presenter at national webinars on topics such as IC-DISCs, entity selection, and captive insurance companies.
Jerry has a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.S. in taxation from Grand Valley State University.
