As a leader in our regulatory compliance practice, I help banks, credit unions, and fintechs abide by federal consumer compliance regulations, including BSA/AML and fair lending. With careful guidance, I help clients comply with federal and state regulators and ensure their compliance function is operating effectively and efficiently.
I was attracted to this career because of the opportunity to serve community financial institutions alongside other kind and smart people. I love the intellectual challenge of what we do, the fast-paced environment, and the opportunity to meet clients from all over the country.
My clients appreciate that I have not only a deep knowledge of compliance, but an enthusiasm for it as well. My excitement for regulatory compliance helps make a seemingly dry subject fun to talk about and easier to understand.
I belong to the AZ Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), the American Banking Association, and the Tucson LGBT Chamber of Commerce. I’m often asked to speak to clients, their boards, and at industry conferences about BSA and compliance hot topics.
I’m also the co-founder of Transitional Careers, a nonprofit resource that members of the transgender community can turn to for advice and insight on how to achieve their career goals, including coaching and mentoring.
I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. from Rutgers.
Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, writing, travel, and mycology. I spend a lot of time with my husband and our two dogs and two cats.
