My primary focus is the financial services sector, including small and large community banks and regional banks. I also serve clients in the manufacturing and distribution and private equity industries.
My clients have told me they appreciate that I invest the time to understand them and their businesses. Once I learn what’s important to them, I can combine that knowledge with regulatory compliance, so they know what they need to adhere to. I try to focus on improvements to security controls that are realistic and impactful.
Growing up, I loved working with computers. It only took one internship in college to solidify that this is the career for me. It’s a perfect blend of client interaction, technology, and helping people.
With more than 12 years of experience, I’m often asked to speak to clients, their boards, and at industry conferences, such as the Michigan Bankers Association and the Ohio Bankers League, about current cybersecurity trends. In 2020, I received the Women to Watch – Emerging Leader Award presented by the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) in collaboration with the AICPA. I belong to the ISACA, the AICPA, the MICPA, and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology. I received a B.S. in telecommunications and a minor in computer science and information systems from Michigan State University (Go Green!).
