As the superintendent of Montrose Community Schools, Mark worked directly with Plante Moran Cresa to complete a $14 million bond program that touched every school in the district, improving the learning environment in positive, long-lasting ways. Working with Plante Moran Cresa showed him how an owner’s representative’s processes and expertise help districts protect their investments.
In his role at Plante Moran Cresa, Mark shares his experiences to educate his fellow administrators on the planning, design, and construction process and the role of an owner’s representative. His goal is to help them understand what they need to know to make educated decisions related to capital program planning and implementation.
Mark was formerly a superintendent at Montrose Community Schools and Bedford Community School District. He has a Master of Arts in educational administration and a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Central Michigan University. Mark is also a NCA CASI School Improvement Specialist, a title he earned through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s School Improvement Program.
