With more than 30 years of public accounting experience, I understand the challenges that accompany high growth, such as managing complex equity structures and identifying new sources of capital. I help my clients develop strategic plans to grow their companies, and I assist with issues like revenue recognition, deferred revenue, capitalized software development costs, corporate structuring, accounting for stock options, and other complex equity matters.
We have a booming tech community here in Chicago — and working with these and other Midwest companies has been tremendously satisfying for me. By making sure emerging enterprises have an appropriate accounting infrastructure in place early, I help entrepreneurs achieve their long-term goals while avoiding expensive missteps that could ultimately derail their growth. When I can give my clients peace of mind in the accounting arena, they’re free to focus on being creative and growing their businesses.
I previously managed our entry-level recruiting process. It’s gratifying to realize that many of the skilled people I helped bring into the firm have gone on to become partners and the next generation of leaders.
I’m a member of the Illinois Technology Association, the Illinois Venture Capital Association, Built in Chicago, the AICPA, and the Illinois CPA Society. I received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
