Much of the benchmarking that I do for clients is formed by my work on the North American Plastics Industry Study, which looks at performance metrics of successful and struggling plastics industry companies. I’ve expanded this level of analysis to our clients in the food and beverage industry.
I work extensively in plastics and the food and beverage processing/packaging industries, but I also assist private equity professionals with strategies and transactions. I have a deep knowledge of the needs of private equity groups and I conduct due diligence of target acquisitions, primarily in the middle-market size range.
My clients appreciate that I don’t talk like an accountant and I come up with creative solutions to unique problems. I like to stay busy — there’s a reason my team might joke about all the coffee I consume. In this job, I enjoy the variety of clients and projects I get to work with.
I speak at the Manufacturing Association of Plastics Processors Benchmarking Conference, the Plastics News Executive Forum, and numerous other events throughout the year on innovation practices and industry benchmark data. I’m also on the board of the Association of Corporate Growth-Chicago. Personally, I’m involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Parkinson’s Foundation, and the Alliance for the Great Lakes. I received a degree in accounting from Michigan State University.
Outside of work, I like to play tennis and golf. I’m decent at one and not embarrassing at the other.
