Shannon, as a project cost accountant on Plante Moran Realpoint’s, formerly Plante Moran Cresa’s, program management team, uses her 30 years of accounting experience to help clients protect the investments they make into their capital improvement projects. Her focus is primarily on the K-12 education and higher education industries.
Shannon’s keen eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of the processes, procedures, and systems involved in project financial accounting ensures her clients’ project financials are on track throughout the life of a construction project. She provides expertise in budgeting, cash flows, financial reporting, and accounting processes. A few of Shannon’s current clients include Bloomfield Hills Schools, Grand Rapids Public Schools, Lansing School District, and Warren Consolidate Schools.
Shannon is a firm believer in working as part of a team and building strong client relationships. She is always available and willing to take extra steps to help her clients and her project team, whether that includes explaining processes and system requirements, coordinating billings, producing accurate financial reports, or training someone on Plante Moran Realpoint’s web-based project management software, e-Builder.
Prior to joining Plante Moran Realpoint, Shannon was an office manager and accountant for a property management and construction company in Roseville, Michigan. Throughout her long career there, Shannon enjoyed building relationships with construction professionals as she managed the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accounting, and general business operations for the company.
Shannon has her degree in accounting from Baker College.
