Mike is a partner with Plante Moran's Real Estate and Construction Group. He specializes in helping real estate and construction executives stay on the cutting edge of industry regulations, trends, and financial success.

Mike is known for his prompt and no-nonsense approach to focusing on the fundamentals during challenging times while keeping a constant eye for changes on the horizon. His 25 years of real estate and construction industry experience includes all major areas of accounting, auditing, and taxation. Most recently, his focus has been on advising clients regarding developments in surety bonding, banking, and bidding issues facing construction contractors. These are the areas that all industry members must address in order to face today's market.

Mike is often asked to speak to clients and their industry associations on topics of current interest. The topics covered include new business entity formation, succession planning, financial statement issues, and various tax-related items. He has a B.A. in accounting from Northern Michigan University.
