I serve as a CFO to individuals, families, and family offices in order to solve complex financial problems that ensure their future financial stability. Specializing in wealth management, investment consulting, estate planning, wealth transfer, tax, insurance, and trust, I coordinate custom strategies that lead to well-designed financial plans.
My clients appreciate that I build relationships with them as individuals as well as with their larger family unit. I believe that cultivating these nuanced relationships is an integral part of helping them define — and reach — their objectives. It’s what I’ve always liked about this career. I enjoy digging into the details and partnering with clients to achieve their goals, whether it’s financial independence, a secure retirement, future care for loved ones, or philanthropic service.
As the leader of the firm's wealth management industry group, I work with our partners and staff on planning, forecasting, and monitoring current industry practices. Around our Colorado office, colleagues know me for providing direct and thoughtful feedback as well as my willingness to encourage staff to take the lead on projects. In the 30 years I’ve been with the firm, my greatest accomplishment has been expanding our wealth management group — in terms of our team size and the services we offer.
Recently, I was interviewed by Financial Advisor Magazine on the growth of the wealth management industry within Plante Moran. I’ve received Crain’s “40 Under 40” award and was twice named one of Barron's "Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors." I received my B.B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University. I belong to the AICPA, the Plante Moran Insurance Agency Board, the Plante Moran Trust Board, and the Plante Moran Financial Advisors Board.
When I’m not working, I try to be outdoors as much as possible. I enjoy spending time with my family.
