Brian is Plante Moran’s information technology (IT) security officer. He oversees the firm’s day-to-day IT operations and negotiates our IT-related contracts.
Brian is known for his common sense approach to addressing technology issues. He excels at isolating underlying business challenges and devising timely, cost-effective solutions. Brian worked at Plante Moran as a CPA until 1986 when the need arose for someone to coordinate and manage our IT operations. During his career, he has consulted with clients on IT projects and most recently has been involved in helping the state of Michigan develop its Cyber Disruption Response Strategy, which provides a framework for the prevention of, protection from, response to, and recovery from significant cyber disruptions to critical infrastructure. The strategy sets forth a number of goals and objectives designed to provide an operational framework to respond to today’s cyber anomalies as well as a cooperative approach aimed at preparing and maintaining a cadre of cyber security partners to maintain ongoing readiness.
Recently Brian spoke at the Information Technology Alliance conference on BYOD. He has a B.S. in business administration and a post bachelor’s certificate in computer science from Wayne State University.
