Our clients count on our cybersecurity team to help them protect information that’s private, confidential, or sensitive. Whether it’s complying with privacy regulations, protecting the integrity of information assets, or advising on the security of emerging technologies, like cloud computing and mobile applications, clients appreciate our practical approach and reasonable solutions to their cybersecurity challenges.
I joined Plante Moran 18 years ago because I had the opportunity to build our cybersecurity practice from the ground up. At the time, it was an emerging need; today, it’s a critical area of focus for all businesses. We’re proud of how much the practice has grown and of the remarkable team and cybersecurity skills we’ve developed. Known for our depth of real-world experience, we consult on topics like security governance, regulation compliance, security risk assessments, IT audits, SOC examinations, and much more. Information technology is a constantly evolving field, and the risks vary from minor nuisances to business disruptions. Every day is a different challenge.
I’m frequently asked to speak at local and national events such as the ICBA Annual Conference, the North American International Cyber Summit, and the Midwest Technology Leaders Conference. Crain’s Detroit has recognized me as a “40 Under 40” recipient and an "American Dreamers" award winner for my professional accomplishments. I’m often quoted in national and regional publications and recently, I was featured in a cover story for CIO magazine discussing the importance of cybersecurity in the remote work environment. I have a B.S. in accounting from the University of Missouri—St. Louis and an ACCA from Emile Woolf in London, UK. I hold numerous cybersecurity certifications including CISA, CISM and CRISC.
As you can see, I’m passionate about bringing new ideas, building new practice areas, and building the talent of the firm. I really appreciate the opportunity to work with young college grads. When I’m not advising clients or staff, I’m traveling. I’ve been to more than 20 countries to serve our clients’ needs. I also spend a lot of time involved in the activities of my three kids.
