My family moved around a lot when I was young. It wasn’t always easy being the new kid, but when I look back, I think it helped me learn to step outside my comfort zone and become comfortable meeting new people.

I lead the firm’s “Plan Ahead” team, which focuses on keeping our staff and clients safe amid COVID-19 as well as a phased approach for returning to offices. This includes providing staff with a playbook for returning to offices and client sites safely, developing a framework for daily health checks and contact tracing, and monitoring guidance from the CDC as well as federal, state, county, and city orders. I wish everyone could witness just how much care and concern we put into each decision. It’s the embodiment of our “We care” culture.

Since joining the firm in 1985, I’ve had the opportunity to take on a number of leadership roles. First, I served as the industry group leader of our K-12 practice, where I oversaw the firm’s audit, consulting, and business advisory services and helped build and grow our district and charter school practices. Next, I became the office managing partner of our Auburn Hills location, where I had the opportunity to interact with partners and staff by supporting career development and professional growth and providing guidance for staff to identify opportunities on their career path. Most recently, I served on the firm’s management team, working with our regional office managing partners to help guide and connect our leadership around the country, sharing best practices and solutions to common issues that work for the entire firm and help uphold our firmwide approach to client service.

While I’m committed to the firm, I’m equally committed to my alma mater, Michigan State University, and I continue to support MSU through various fundraising and volunteer activities.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
