With nearly three decades in this profession, I bring a practical approach to problem-solving that my middle-market clients appreciate, and I’ve cultivated deep industry knowledge in construction, energy, and, manufacturing and distribution (M&D).
One could say I’ve been an accountant my whole life. Ever since that first accounting class in high school, I’ve been hooked. I enjoy the logic of numbers and business, so the career has always fit me well. Whether I’m advising owners of closely held businesses, entities with multiple locations, or international companies with a foreign parent, they know I’m looking out for their best interests. It’s my role to advise them on financial tax ramifications, current industry issues, and best practices. I’m passionate about helping my clients reach their goals. Each is unique, and I pride myself on delivering advice that’s tailored to their practice.
As office managing partner, I’ve been able to develop close relationships with a number of clients. Over time, this has contributed to the growth of the East Lansing office as well as significant growth in the client base of the M&D, construction, and energy industries.
Besides accounting, I also love the outdoors. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and hiking with the family. We have a cottage on Lake Huron, so I’m on the water boating or fishing any chance that I get.
I’m a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, the Associated General Contractors of Michigan, and the Michigan Oil and Gas Association. I have a B.B.A. in accounting from Western Michigan University.
